MOVIE DESCRIPTION
M was one of legendary actor Peter Lorre s first major film roles. Director Fritz Lang s use of painterly cinematography, sharp angles, dark corners and breakneck pacing lead to an unforgettable climax in this historic film-noir film.
Fear stalks the streets of Berlin in the form of a serial child murderer whose gruesome tirades are so unspeakable that even the other criminals in the city want him found and killed. Filmed in post-Weimar Germany at the very beginning of the Nazi-state, this story of moral corruption makes two statements...One, that justice is deserved by all and two, that social hysteria can lead to cultural witch hunts.
